FAQ
-
When do I need to RSVP?
Please RSVP as soon as possible to ensure that the bride and groom have an accurate guest count for the venue and caterers. They will need to provide final guest list well in advance. You can RSVP by clicking the RSVP button on the page here: https://www.jenandjona.com/rsvp.
-
How do I RSVP?
You can RSVP by clicking the RSVP button on our page here: https://www.jenandjona.com/rsvp. Clicking the button will take you to WithJoy.com, the website where the bride and groom’s RSVPs are managed.
-
Can I Invite an extra guest or +1?
Regretfully, given the limitations of their wedding size the bride and groom are unable to accommodate any extra guests. Anyone who is not specifically listed on the written invites received will not be allowed into the venue - this includes children, partners, and other +1s who are not specifically included on the written invites.
-
What is the dress code?
Ultimately Jen and Jona care much more about you being there than what you’re wearing. Suggested dress is smart casual church clothes for the ceremony and garden cocktail attire for the reception.
The wedding doesn’t have a set color theme, but you will notice a range of spring pastels throughout as inspiration. -
Where will the wedding ceremony and reception be taking place?
The wedding ceremony will be taking place at Vietnamese Martyrs Parish in Tukwila, WA (6841 S 180th St, Tukwila, WA 98188) and the wedding reception will be taking place at Gray Bridge in Sultan, WA (12605 307th Ave SE, Sultan, WA 98294).
-
Do I need to attend both the wedding ceremony and reception?
The bride and groom would of course love to have their guests attend both their ceremony and reception, however given the time and distance gap between the two events, they also understand it may not be possible for everyone. The RSVP process will allow you to signal your intent to attend each event separately in the case you are only able to make one of the two.
-
What time will the ceremony start, and when should I be there?
The ceremony will start promptly at 11AM, please plan to arrive 15-30 mins before the ceremony starts to ensure there is adequate time to be seated.
-
What time will the reception start, and when should I be there?
The reception will start at 5PM with a garden cocktail hour, please plan to arrive around then.
-
What time does the ceremony end?
The ceremony will last approximately an hour, at which point we will break and regroup later in the evening at the reception in Sultan.
-
What time does the reception end?
The reception will end at 10PM with the bar closing at 9:45PM. We will not be able to stay at the venue past this 10PM close time.
-
What can we do in the interim window between the wedding ceremony and reception?
While it can be a little more inconvenient having a gap period between the ceremony and reception, this window ensures the bride and groom have ample time to get set up and ready for the arrival of their guests as well as cherish the moments in between during the big day. Guests are encouraged to use this time however they see fit, whether that be grabbing lunch at many of the great eateries to be found between Tukwila and Sultan, using the time to take a nap and recharge, or pull off a mid-day outfit change to prepare for the night of celebration ahead.
-
Will there be alcohol served at the reception?
Yes - there will be alcohol served throughout the night. Each guest 21+ will receive two complimentary drink tickets that can be exchanged for a variety of drink offerings (beer, wine, spirits) at the bar. In addition to the complimentary tickets, guests are welcome to purchase drinks directly from the bar, which accepts most major credit/debit cards (but does not accept cash). Please ensure that if you intend to consume alcohol you bring your ID/License as they will be required to be served.
-
How do I receive my complimentary drink tickets?
There will be a designated representative from the venue who will be distributing drink tickets as guests walk in along with checking ID’s for those receiving tickets. Please ensure that if you intend to consume alcohol you bring your ID/License as they will be required to be served.
-
What if I do not plan to use any or all of the complimentary drink tickets?
If you do not plan to use your tickets you are welcome to decline receiving them at the entrance, at which point they will be returned back to the bridal party for redistribution. Alternatively, you are welcome to accept your tickets upon entrance and redistribute them yourself to the bridal party or other guests who are 21+. You know what that means - it’s time to get grandma drunk!
-
Will there be non-alcoholic beverages?
Yes - there will be an assortment of soft drinks including soda’s, juices, water, etc. Tickets are not needed for non-alcoholic beverages and are covered by the bride and groom.
-
Can we bring in our own food or alcohol to the reception?
No - there is a strict non-tolerance policy for bringing in outside food or alcohol with the venue and caterers. Any outside food or alcohol will not be allowed on the premises and could jeopardize Jen and Jona’s day of celebration so please refrain from bringing anything in. As mentioned above, a full service bar will be available at the venue, and a full catered meal will be provided.
-
I have specific dietary restrictions/allergies, how can I make sure this is accounted for in the food being served?
Please make sure to indicate any dietary restrictions/allergies within the RSVP site and the bride and groom will work on making accommodations. We have also created an extra form here (https://www.jenandjona.com/accomodations) to submit any information you would like to communicate outside of the RSVPs themselves.
-
What is the parking situation like at the locations for the ceremony and reception?
Both the Vietnamese Martyrs Parish and Gray Bridge will have more than adequate parking for all our guests, with parking lots located directly at both.
-
Will there be any planned shuttles to the reception?
No - there will not be any organized transportation service so please make plans ahead for traveling to the Gray Bridge. The bride and groom highly encourage carpooling with others especially for those who plan to partake in drinking. Ride share app services (Uber, Lyft) in Sultan are also limited and should not be relied on as the primary plan for transportation if avoidable.
-
What are some recommendations for hotels nearby the reception venue?
There are limited options within Sultan proper and the bride and groom don’t recommend staying there as such.Typically for weddings hosted at the Gray Bridge the following are popular places to stay: Best Western Sky Valley (Monroe), Evergreen Inn (Monroe), Hampton Inn & Suites (Woodinville), Holiday Inn (Woodinville).
There are also a range of Airbnb options in the nearby area that may better accommodate specific group sizes.
-
Is the reception taking place indoors or outdoors?
The reception taking place at Gray Bridge in Sultan will be a completely outdoor reception. There will be a large tent where dinner is served however the rest of the time will be spent outside in the (hopefully) sunny weather. Please make sure to check the forecast for the day and dress accordingly - it may still get chilly as the sun goes down.
-
Can I take pictures during the ceremony or livestream on Facebook?
The bride and groom have asked to please limit the use of phones during the ceremony in order to have guests present in the moment and to limit the appearance of phones in the professional photos taken by their photographers. Professional photos of the event will be shared afterwards.
-
Do Jen and Jona have a gift registry?
No - the bride and groom have opted not to do a gift registry given their limited physical space for items. The most meaningful gift to the bride and groom would simply be your presence in celebrating their big day. If however you would like to provide a written card and/or monetary gift towards the cost of the wedding or the couples honeymoon fund they will have options for accepting them at the wedding (cash/card box, venmo, zelle, cash app).
-
I'm unable to attend, is there somewhere I can still send a gift to Jen and Jona?
Yes! Digital monetary gifts can be directed to Jen and Jona here: https://www.jenandjona.com/gifts

I have read all of the FAQs above and still have a question that’s not been covered. How can I get an answer?
For any additional questions not covered in the FAQ, the bride and groom have created a form you can use to submit questions directly here: https://www.jenandjona.com/questions.
